About the Artist
Debbie Wallis is a Boston-area artist whose current body of work focuses on the abstract. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, where she received her degree in painting. She furthered her education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing in art therapy. Debbie looks at the relationship between art materials, specifically the relationship that forms when materials that typically would not be joined, combine. These experiments push the boundaries of the materials. It's in these moments where magic happens... (and at other times, it's complete chaos).
